Vaccines

We require proof that all pets are UTD on the Rabies vaccine because it is required by law. All equipment is sanitized between pets, so there is little risk of disease transmission. NOTE: We do not accept pets who are displaying symptoms of illness or injury unless cleared by a vet for not being contagious and the pet can be safely groomed.

Difficult/Aggressive Pets
We will attempt to groom any pet, including pets who have a history of not being able to be groomed. We have had success with many   "ungroomable" pets, but your pet's and our safety is always number one. We have the right to refuse or cease services for any pet that's exhibiting aggressive behavior or who is in distress from the grooming process. Please disclose any bite history at drop off. We use basket style muzzles to prevent any breathing issues and have the right to use a muzzle any time we feel it's for the safety of us or your pet.

Difficult pets (including pets who are aggressive, anxious or have medical issues that prevent them from being able to be groomed without extra measures) may be charged an additional fee ranging from $15-$50 depending on the severity and extra time needed. Please do not sedate your pet without our prior consent.

No Shows/ Cancellations

No shows hurt the business and other clients. We understand things happen that are out of your control, but please let us know ASAP if you need to cancel or reschedule. Any appointment cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment is considered a no show and will result in a $25 rebooking fee. If we show up to your house and you have not rescheduled there will be a $50 charge. Repeat no shows may result in our inability to serve you in the future.

Other Information

Most grooms take 1-2 hours to complete. We will never rush and not all pets take the same amount of time. Some pets may need us to move slower for their comfort and that is okay. We book our schedule to allow for this extra time, so we will never rush completion. Your pet will get 100% of the attention the entire time.

FAQ

What is Mobile Pet Grooming?

Mobile pet grooming is a convenient and personalized service that brings a professional groomer right to your doorstep. Instead of taking your pet to a traditional grooming salon, a mobile pet groomer arrives in a specially equipped vehicle, ready to pamper your furry friend. This service is ideal for pet owners with busy schedules or pets that may be anxious about traveling.

Do you have base access?

Yes! Our groomer is a military spouse with a military ID, so we can get on all bases in Hampton Roads.

Will I have the same groomer every time?

Yes. We are a "one (wo)man show". This is especially nice because it gives us the ability to build a relationship with our clients.

Can you come to my apartment or condo?

We can groom pets at most apartment complexes provided there is a visitor parking lot that a 12 ft trailer can fit into. You may want to double check that this is okay with your apartment complex prior to booking but most don't have any issues. An added bonus is if you can get your neighbors to book at the same visit you qualify for the multiple pet discount!

Can you come to my work?

Yes! As long as your boss doesn't mind! We do need to be able to park a 12 ft trailer and have to run a generator, so check with your neighbors to make sure that they're okay with this but we have groomed many pets at their parent's work.

Can you groom my pet while I'm not home?

Yes. We do ask that you're present at the first visit so we can all get to know each other but we have plenty of clients who have their pet groomed while they're not home.

What do I need to provide?

Nothing. Well, just the dog! Our mobile grooming unit is fully self-sustained including water. We do have a shore power option as a back up in case of equipment failure but hopefully we'll never have to use it. All shampoos, tools and other products are provided and included in your price.

Can you do more than one pet at once?

Yes! We can do as many pets as you need us to do. We prefer to only have one pet in the grooming unit at once for their safety. We can't give our undivided attention if we're watching multiple pets but in some circumstances we've had multiple pets in the grooming unit at once. We can also do your neighbor's pets at the same time and you both qualify for the multiple pet discount.

How much space do you need?

Our mobile grooming unit is a 12ft enclosed trailer. So we need enough space to park it and the car that pulls it. We prefer on the street parking but can pull in driveways. If you live on a dead end road with no turn around, we may need to adjust where we park. If you live on busy streets without a lot of parking or use a parking garage for parking, we may not be able to accommodate you. We can usually tell if you live in an area that we may not fit prior to your appointment. Sometimes for these busier areas booking midday helps since their tends to be more open space.

Will my pet be caged or kenneled?

No. We are 100% cage free. We do have a crate in the grooming unit but it's used for storage and not for animals.

Can I watch?

Unfortunately, No. There isn't enough room for two people and leaving the door open creates a lot of liability which makes our insurance company not happy. Most pets do better without their parents present. We do have cameras and try to post photos & videos of each pet.

How Does Mobile Pet Grooming Work?

The process is straightforward. Once you schedule an appointment, we will arrive at your location in a fully equipped mobile grooming unit. The trailer is designed to cater to all grooming needs, including bathing, trimming, and styling. We will assess your pet's condition and discuss any specific requirements you might have before starting the grooming session.

Why is mobile grooming more expensive?

Mobile grooming costs more because we come to you. That means we put wear and tear on our grooming units and vehicles. Gas isn't cheap either! Mobile grooming is a luxury service. In a salon, most groomers are grooming up to 10 dogs over the day. In most cases these dogs spend most of the time crated waiting for their turn in the "assembly line". Since mobile grooming is one on one, we take considerably less pets each day. Your pet gets all of the attention. We get to know your pet on a more personal level and have the time to build a relationship with them. The prices are inclusive and rarely fluctuate that means generally there aren't any hidden fees like most grooming salons. Does your Husky need a deshed? That's included. Nail Grinding? Included. Teeth Brushing? You guessed it, included. So while on paper, mobile grooming may cost a bit more but by check out it's not that much more expensive. Especially when you factor in the time you save by not spending all day waiting for the groomer to call you. Your pet also appreciates not having to sit all day.

Do you groom cats?

Yes! We have groomed quite a few cats over the years. Cats especially benefit from the one on one grooming.

Do you have any breed or weight restrictions?

No. We've groomed Chihuahuas, Newfoundlands, Great Danes and everything in between! Some of the bigger pets may be difficult to lift in the tub, so as long as they'll use the ramp, they're welcome. We've only had a handful of giant breeds not be able to be groomed due to their refusal to cooperate.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, we offer a 5% multiple pet discount and a 5% military discount. These discounts may be combined. We also have a customer referral program which gives you and the person you recommend $10 off the next visit (make sure they tell us during their appointment so we can credit your account! The customer referral program can be combined with the other discounts but you can only use one $10 credit per visit.

Can you do my friend/neighbors pets at the same time?

Yes! As long as everyone has booked an appointment on the same day/time frame we can accommodate everyone. This also makes you all eligible for the multiple pet discount.

Can I book a specific time?

While we will do our best to accommodate your schedule, sometimes due to traffic or pets taking longer than anticipated we offer time frames of arrival instead of a specific time. This prevents our groomer from rushing their appointments and alleviates the stress of trying to keep on a tight schedule. This also can help us plan our day to be the most efficient when it comes to travel. Sometimes we may contact you the evening before your appointment to see if we can move your time frame to help us to be more efficient. We will always let you know when we are heading to you and give an estimated ETA as soon as we know it, so you can plan to get ready for our arrival.

How do you deal with pets who are sensitive to parts of the grooming process?

Some pets may not enjoy grooming but it is necessary to keep them in good health. We have over 15 years experience and this experience has helped us learn to make grooming as least stressful as possible. We have treats, muzzles, ear protection and other methods at our disposal. Sometimes it is in the best interest of your pet to not perform a specific service. When we make this decision, it is a last resort, which means there is a safety concern for your pet or us. That doesn't mean next time we won't attempt again, some pets learn over time that grooming isn't quite as scary. Alternatively, we may recommend you speak to your vet about trying a sedative to help your pet relax and avoid a lot of stress grooming calls for. We are fear-free certified which means we work cooperatively with your pet instead of against them, forcing services which in the end makes grooming more stressful. A few things we implement are "Happy Hoodies" and multiple dryers with different noise output to make the dryer a little less scary. Gloves and muzzles to protect us from being bitten. Treats to keep your pet busy while we do their nails and as always we diffuse a calming pheromone made specifically for dogs and cats.

My dog was kicked out of our last groomer, can you still groom him?

Yes. We will attempt any pet. We may need to work up to a "perfect" groom for your pet but we are willing to work with them and take it slow. Please disclose this and any bite history with us at drop off. If this information isn't disclosed and it is later found out, this may result in termination of the client-customer relationship. This is for our safety and your pet's comfort.

Are there any age restrictions?

No, we groom pets of all ages. Any pet over 4 months must have a current rabies vaccine or a waiver from their vet saying they cannot be vaccinated. We clean & sanitize equipment in between dogs as well as deep clean each night. Any pet under the age of one or over the age of ten must have been examined by a vet within the last year to make sure there are no underlying health issues that can be exasperated by the grooming process

What type of measures do you take to prevent disease transmission?

We take cleaning seriously. We have dogs at home and just like you, don't want them catching anything. We clean equipment in between pets. This includes our floor, tub and table. We also do a more thorough cleaning each night. We use veterinary strength, pet safe cleaners as well as ultrasonic and UV light technology to make sure everything is clean and sanitized. We do require that dogs have a rabies vaccine at minimum. If your pet has been sick within the last 7 days, please let us know. We may need to reschedule them for everyone's safety.

What to expect at your appointment

When we are on our way you will receive a notification to give you an ETA. This is your chance to let your dog go potty, so they don't have any accidents during their groom. Once we arrive we will find the best parking spot and prep for your pet. This involves getting our tools ready and turning on our generator. We will then come up to your door to meet you, your pet and discuss all services requested and an estimated completion time. We will do a quick health & coat condition check and discuss any findings that may effect the grooming process with you. We will also give you a price quote. If you haven't signed our release waiver, we will also have you sign that before getting started. We will then take your pet to our climate controlled, mobile grooming unit. Your pet will be groomed and pampered for the next hour or so. If you need to reach us during this time, please either text or call. A lot of times knocking on our door upsets pets and can pose a safety risk. Once your pet is close to completed and we know what your total for the day will be, we will send you an invoice. You can pay anytime between seeing it and receiving your pet back. We will then bring your pet back to with their new hair style and you can go on about your day. We will then clean up our mobile grooming trailer, pack up and head to our next client.
